Overview of the Interim Controller role:

• Interim Controller assists in coordinating the annual budget calendar and manages deliverables by established deadlines
• Maintain the general ledger
• Research technical accounting issues under IFRS and GAAP
  • Write technical memos
• Develop internal financial statement reports for management
• Manage various compliance requirements
• Controller collaborates with critical department and operations leaders to develop detailed annual budgets and periodic forecasts
• Controller maintains detailed budget and forecast templates and software to aid in the budgeting and forecasting processes
• Controller assists in defining key drivers of budget and forecast variances and ensures understanding of key drivers with responsible parties
• Controller completes ad hoc financial analysis and other projects as needed to support the business
• Controller oversees all month-end close and financial reporting
• Controller deals with SOX compliance and internal control

Qualifications for the Interim Controller:

• CPA designation (preferred)
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• Management experience
• Experience dealing with IFRS and GAAP compliance (preferred)
