Our client is in search of a reliable and visionary Director of Finance to join their dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for analyzing daily financial activities and providing strategic guidance to upper management. As a key financial leader, you will report directly to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO), partnering with senior leadership to deliver meaningful insights and actionable reports.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Management:

  • Oversee all financial operations, with a focus on general accounting.
  • Drive scalable processes for operational excellence in services demand planning, forecasting, and reporting.

• Leadership and Development:

  • Lead the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Finance team and all departments.
  • Manage and develop daily cash flow and tracking tools.

• Team Management:

  • Build, direct, and manage the Finance team to support the business's financial strategy.
  • Lead a team of 3 Staff Accountants, setting goals and objectives, and providing performance management and career development.

• Compliance and Control:

  • Establish and uphold internal financial controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance and reduce risk.

• Budgeting:

  • Lead the annual budget process and conduct scenario planning.
  • Evaluate financial and strategic impact with the leadership team.

• Audit and Risk Management:

  • Lead the annual audit and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
  • Manage bank accounts with precision, including cash flow management and timely reconciliation.

• Reporting, Analysis, and Communication:

  • Advise management, present financial reports to stakeholders, and support informed decision-making.
  • Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, and sales results.

• Financial Literacy and Vendor Relations:

  • Promote financial literacy and accountability among all staff.
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions and vendors.

Requirements:

• Expert efficiency with Excel.
• Extensive understanding of financial trends, both within the company and general market patterns.
• 4-6 years of experience as a Director of Finance/Accounting or Senior Financial Manager/Analyst.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Experience leading employees to ensure appropriate financial processes.
• Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
• BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
• Experience in the travel or incentive industry is a plus.
• CFA/CPA is a plus.
