ABOUT THE COMPANYOur client, located in Bridgeport, is currently seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join the team. Reporting to the Controller, this role will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate revenue and consumption reporting for a large customer base spanning three states. Key responsibilities include monthly accruals, analysis of revenue and consumption variances, and operational efficiency analytics.

OVERVIEW OF THE BUSINESS ANALYST ROLE:
- Accurate revenue and consumption reporting for three states and 250K customers.
- Monthly reporting write-up for the President, including analysis of accruals, variances, and key variables impacting revenues.
- Development of company-wide Revenue and Consumption budgets.
- Operational efficiency analytics for 70 separate entities, including data compilation from various sources.
- Generating annual and semi-annual state-required reporting.
- Utilizing Business Objects for enhanced productivity in the Finance group.
- Month-end tasks including revenue/billing reporting, volume analysis, and weather tracking.
- Generating revenue budgets and budgeting consumption.
- Non-revenue water control, including data compilation, analysis, and prioritization.
- Supporting conservation efforts through data analysis and support.
- Ad hoc tasks including support for engineering projects and collaboration with IT for data requests.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in report and process development.
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and VLookups.
- Experience with SAP/Business Objects, highly preferred.
- Sound judgment with the ability to comprehend complex business processes.
