"Business Development Manager" position:

  • Full-cycle B2B sales role – from prospecting to outreach to contract negotiation, closing, and account management. You will “manage” your book of business and the full process (no direct reports in this role to start). Promote our recruiting services to hiring managers and business leaders in your local area.
  • Acquire new clients, accounts, and job orders through our internal database, research, outbound calls, networking, referrals, follow-ups, marketing, and more. Increase our market share throughout your territory. Build a long-lasting professional network using consultative selling, value-added touch points, and market expertise.
  • 180/split-desk role staffing role - work with your recruiting counterparts (Staffing Managers) who will identify candidates to fill the open positions that you negotiate. This role is highly team-oriented and at CFS all positions are considered equal to start.
  • Focus on growing billable hours (passive/recurring commission) for the consulting/temporary/contract division via contingent recruiting (not executive search or MSP). Cross-sell with the tech and permanent placement divisions. Over time this role transitions from more business development, to more account management.

Candidate Requirements:

  • If experienced in staffing/sales:
    • Successfully hits metrics/KPIs/activities; well-regarded by teammates, bosses, candidates, and clients
    • Open to learning new methods and techniques
    • Has made dials, bought in new business (preferred)
  • 2 years of professional work experience
  • Good tenure at past companies!
  • Can easily commute to our office in Shelton. Wants to be in-person with teammates the majority of the week, open to in-person client visits
  • Wants to work hard and make money - but have fun, grow, and build meaningful relationships at the same time

Pay:

  • Base salary of $50k depending on experience and prior success
  • Tiered, fully uncapped commission starting Day 1 (no quotas or thresholds to hit before making commission)
