The Behavior Specialist provides clinical leadership to the direct care staff and manages the behavioral services of the clients. The following tasks are specific expectations of the position:
1. Maintain a professional relationship with clients and staff.
2. Uphold the company mission and core values at all times
3. Conducts functional behavior assessments, accurately identifying the function of challenging behavior and socially valid, pivotal behaviors to target.
4. Develops treatment plans that recommend individualized, evidence-based behavioral strategies in a format accessible to direct care staff.
5. Conduct treatment planning sessions to monitor progress, analyze data, research evidence-based procedures and other appropriate activities
6. Communicate regularly and professionally with the Director of Operations regarding clients’ progress, provider progress, and pertinent issues
7. Provide supervision and training to direct care staff including observing, modeling, coaching, taking data, providing feedback and making recommendations in accordance with the BACB guidelines and the 6400 regulations.
8. Work collaboratively with direct care staff to promote positive client behavior by providing professional development that targets research, strategies and modeling of instructional practices to support staff in their implementation of positive support.
9. Attend ISP, regular team, or other meetings as necessary and provide related behavioral information.
10. Coordinate care with primary care physicians or team members.
11. Provide treatment that is in accordance with BACB’s guidelines, policies, procedures.
12. Complete session notes and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards. Submit documentation in a timely manner.
13. Manage own schedule and caseload
14. Maintain the confidentiality of information including client records (HIPAA laws), personnel information and other relevant issues
Other duties as assigned:
1. The PS will complete all other tasks as assigned by the management of Creative Dialogues that further the mission of the organization.
Qualifications
1. Mental health or behavior specialist license.
- BCBA license preferred.
2. Experience with IDD and writing behavior plans is preferred
3. Driver's license.
4. Obtain background clearances

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
