Position Summary:

Creative seeks for a graduate or post-graduate level intern to apply their knowledge of program monitoring and evaluation, conflict sensitivity, locally-led development, community-based programming, and social cohesion to the Communities in Transition (CIT) Division’s learning agenda, program analysis, and new business opportunities with our experienced technical program team. Creative is dedicated to providing you with valuable learning opportunities as you share your ideas and creativity with the (CIT) team.

Responsibilities

  • Support the CIT Learning Committee to document and analyze research findings on our Learning Agenda Questions on topics of locally-led development, violence and conflict analysis, social cohesion, and people-centered justice in conflict.
  • Draft written content on CIT technical tools and learning analysis for use on Creative internal and external websites, project fact sheets and summaries, brochures, technical capture questionnaires, competitive proposals and concept papers.
  • Contribute to CIT’s strategic communications and positioning by identifying topics relevant to project and new business pipeline priorities, and draft thought pieces (white papers, blog posts, short articles) to highlight Creative’s technical leadership in key areas.
  • Support coordination and content development for external events on technical subjects to contribute to CIT’s positioning efforts.
  • Attend bi-weekly team meetings for the CIT Division and Learning Committee, and regular meetings with supervisor.

Reporting & Supervision:

This position will report to the Senior Technical Advisor, CIT Division. This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a graduate, post-graduate, or doctoral degree program in international development, political science, or a relevant social science field;
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in international development programs;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including research, report and abstract writing;
  • Highly motivated with a desire to learn;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Word, SharePoint, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Opportunity to apply research and writing skills to collaboration, learning, and adaptation (CLA) approach to analysis of current programs; and to develop tools and content to support Creative’s global programs.

The Salary Range for this position is expected to be: $18 - $20 per hour.

An employee’s pay position will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.
