Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, and sanding as needed
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results
- Repair and patch damaged areas on walls, ceilings, and other surfaces
- Assist with basic carpentry tasks such as framing and caulking
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a painter or laborer preferred
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating paint quantities
- Knowledge of different types of paints, finishes, and application techniques
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift heavy objects as required
- Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines
Note: This position may involve working on construction sites or in various locations, so reliable transportation is necessary.
