Job Description
CRDF Global is seeking a Junior Accountant to join the Finance team. The Junior Accountant maintains a high-energy and dynamic level of customer service in one of the organization’s most prominent processes. In this role you will maintain a weekly payment cycle by scheduling payments, managing payment systems, and interacting with all divisions and levels of the organization. The Junior Accountant is willing to learn, is coachable, seeks constant improvements and strives for excellence in Accounts Payable.

Major Responsibilities:

• Review payment requests and support the organization’s staff in submitting correct, accurate and allowable payment requests
• Create and edit payment vouchers for approval according to the Accounts Payable internal control procedures and best practices and other regulatory compliance related to payments
• Post cash disbursements in an accurate and timely fashion
• Submit and follow investigations of payment returns
• Maintain the vendor database
• Prepare and distribute check, wire, ACH, credit card, paypal payments and follow-up with payment confirmations
• Enter credit card payments and reconcile credit cards
• Assist with debit card processing
• Enter 1099 information and process 1099-Forms
• Maintain electronic and paper copy vendor files
• Process routine journal entries
• Process payment returns
• Use Excel to reconcile payments and expenses
• Participate in annual audit by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
• Take part in process planning and design for efficient operations and superior customer satisfaction
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associates degree or equivalent; college degree Preferred
• 2 or more years of work experience in a related field
• Strong computer skills including Excel, Microsoft Office
• CostPoint 8.1 experience preferred
• Knowledge of federal regulations to accurately process expenses
• Demonstrated strong communication skills, problem solving and ability to organize and prioritize workload
• Ability to work as part of a team
• U.S. work authorization
