Job Description: *
Position Summary;*
The Grant Specialist is a member of the Grants Division. He/she is responsible for the day-to-day management of a portfolio of new and existing assistance activities under the CTR-BEP/CSP portfolio. This position will be responsible for managing administration of the grant cycle from application to closing, ensuring that grant requirements are met, and payments are appropriate, maintaining grant records, monitoring and reporting on grant budgets, and ensuring compliance with federal rules and regulations and CRDF Global policy and best practices in all aspects of grant implementation.
This position will also support growth activities, process improvements, committees, special projects, and other organization-wide activities, on behalf of Operations Support and the global CRDF Grants team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of four years of relevant work experience and 2 years of experience in federal assistance programs.
• Project management skills, implementing high-risk grants, and strong attention to details.
• Customer service experience and effective communication skills, including experience working with international partners.
• The ability to supervise junior level staff if required, and to provide the needed support for them while developing their skills and knowledge.
• Experience participating in or leading projects cross-departmentally is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while keeping leadership apprised of program needs and priorities.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Working knowledge of FLUXX, Deltek/Costpoint or similar Grants Management or Financial Management Purchasing modules is preferred.
• Strong time management skills and ability to deliver services on time, on budget and in accordance with funder expectations.
• Knowledge of English language is a must. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
