ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Visuallyinspects and listens to machines and equipment to locate causes ofmalfunctions.
• Dismantle machines andequipment to gain access to problemarea.
• Inspects and measures parts todetect wear misalignment or otherproblems.
• Starts machines andequipment to test operation followingrepair.
• Removes repairs or replacesbroken parts using hand or powertools.
• Sets up and operatesmetalworking tools such as lathe drill press or grinder to make orrepair parts.
• Develops and performspreventive maintenance program for facilities andequipment.
• Diagnoses and replacesfaulty electrical mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic components ofmachines and equipment.
• Cleans andlubricates shafts bearings gears and other parts ofmachinery.
• Installs programs orrepairs automated machinery andequipment.
• Other duties may beassigned.

Requirements

EDUCATIONand / or EXPERIENCE

Must havehigh school diploma or G.E.D.

a oneyear certificate from college or technical school desirable;

plus three years combinedexperience in electrical plant maintenance equipment maintenance(trouble shooting preventive etc.) and

general mechanical maintenance(hydraulics fabrication welding etc.);o

r equivalent combination ofeducation and experience.

Requires experience in use andprogramming of Programmable LogicControllers.
