Summary:Crazy Shirts’ purpose is to create original and memorable artwork on quality products that take our customers on the endless vacation in everyday life. The Retail Planner supports this mission by determining and maintaining the assortment plan for an assigned group of retail stores.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to:

• Assortment Planning:
  • Identify store assortment plans for the Hawaii region, aligning them with overall company goals.
  • Tailor assortment plans for individual stores, considering store capacity and volume, regional preferences as well as market trends.
  • Collaborate closely with retail partners to develop effective product placement and planogram activities.
  • Introduce new items to store assortments based on art design, style, store capacity, and volume considerations.
  • Employ creativity and analytics to determine new design ideas and topics, communicating monthly needs to the Art department based on trends and customer demand.
• Blank Stock Planning and Forecasting:
  • Participate in monthly planning of blank purchases, providing accurate forecasting aligned with store assortment plans.
  • Provide accurate order forecasting on new items based on historical trends and expected demand.
• Sales Monitoring:
  • Use analytics to monitor sales, making informed decisions on expanding or removing existing designs based on current and forecasted sales trends.
  • Update and publish weekly sales reports to keep stakeholders informed about sales performance.
• Distribution and Allocation:
  • Utilize the system, related reports, historical data, and current trends to recommend and execute appropriate distribution, stock levels, and allocations for multiple store locations.
• Inventory Management:
  • Keep stores in stock on the current and upcoming assortment.
  • Focus on top sellers and initiate the liquidation process for bottom sellers to ensure optimal stock levels and maximize margin.
  • Monitor sell-through of markdown goods and recommend actions to maximize liquidation.
• Warehouse Replenishment and Store Allocation:
  • Ensure timely completion of warehouse replenishment, prioritizing top sellers that drive sales.
  • Review and determine the best units/minutes ratio by assessing needs by design. Coordinate with production on available capacity, priorities, and order cancel dates.
  • Ensure store allocation is completed and replenishment templates are updated to support the current and upcoming needs of the stores.
• Price Changes and Promotions:
  • Perform system price changes to meet promotional event dates.
• DTC and Custom Wholesale Support:
  • Support DTC and Custom Wholesale merchandising functions as needed and directed.
• Travel and Other Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute travel as required to stay informed about market trends and store needs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-3 years apparel merchandising/buying experience required.
• PC experience required including intermediate Excel use and Microsoft Outlook.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and moving items at times.
• Moving and standing
• Sitting for long periods of time.
• Must be able to travel (up to 10% of time per year).
• Must be able to lift to 45 lbs. and to support other departments/areas when needed.
• Must be able to abide by the company’s Exposure Prevention, Preparedness, and Response guidelines as it relates to the spread of communicable diseases, and workplace safety; this includes use of masks (as needed and required per CDC and Company recommendations) and the ability to use cleaning supplies for cleaning and disinfection purposes.
