Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The Ophthalmic Technician will perform various tasks to manage patient flow and support the smooth operation of our office. This is a full-time position.
Duties:
- File and maintain documents, records, and reports
- Type and proofread correspondence, memos, and other documents
- Use of medical equipment
- Primary role is working directly with patients; including patient work-ups, assisting the doctor, and managing patient flow.
- Answer phone calls and scheduling appointments
- Provide excellent phone etiquette and customer service
- Computer data entry
- Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, organizing files, and maintaining office cleanliness
Experience:
- Previous office experience is preferred
- Familiarity with medical office equipment
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
