We have a unique and exciting career opportunity for a Test Engineer located at our Burbank, CA campus.
Purpose of Position:
In summary, you will be responsible to develop concepts, design, integrate, verify and document custom Acceptance Test Equipment for Engineering Development and Production product acceptance test. This includes both Electronics Hardware and Software design. The overall objective is to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibility and Accountability:
Generate Test Requirements Documents. Work with other Engineering disciplines to develop and capture test requirements.
Generate detailed test procedures.
Develop concepts, perform detailed electronics and mechanical packaging design for custom Test Systems utilizing COTS products and custom electronics.
Create electronics schematics and mechanical drawings.
Design cables, wiring harnesses and wiring layouts for custom test systems.
Code Test Software, integrate with Brake Control Electronics Units, debug and perform formal builds with a Quality Assurance witness.
Facilitate and contribute to Peer Reviews. Release formal documents, procedures, schematics and drawings. Adhere to formal processes and standards.
Support Production troubleshooting of complex electronics units.
Highly Regarded Qualifications:
Knowledge of Test Engineering Environments for highly reliable, Aerospace and/or Defense Electronics Products.
Experience in developing Test Systems for electronics product acceptance testing.
Experience in Electronics design, software design and mechanical packaging design using Altium, LabVIEW, C# and SolidWorks tools.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics (Master's Degree Preferred).
0-2 years of relevant work exprience
Experience in electronics design and/or computer-controlled systems design
Knowledge:
Knowledge of complex closed loop systems.
Knowledge of analog and digital circuitry and software control.
Knowledge of test systems to test microcontroller/microprocessor-based systems.
Knowledge of equipment utilized in support of testing similar/related Electronic, Aerospace and/or Defense products.
Skills:
Understanding of Electronics Circuits (Analog and Digital). Familiarity of Altium.
