Crane Holdings Co is Hiring a Facilities Supervisor Near CA, CA

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking to hire a Facilities Supervisor in Burbank, CA.

The Facilities Supervisor will lead Project Management and schedule formulation for facilities upgrades, improvements and maintenance activities. This includes permitting and requirements, along with all specifications details, such as materials selected for the projects.

The Facilities Supervisor is also responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of mechanics, installers, and repairers as well as reporting to the company’s Executive Leadership Team.

You are our ideal candidate if you have five years or more experience in a Maintenance & Repair, Manufacturing & Construction field.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill of personnel

  • Monitor employee work levels and review work performance

  • Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions

  • Investigate accidents and injuries, and prepare reports of findings

  • Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, and disciplinary measures

  • Compile operational and personnel records, such as time and production records, inventory data, repair and maintenance statistics, and test results

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate maintenance policies and procedures

  • Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies

  • Examine objects, systems, or facilities, and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs

  • Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, and maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use

  • Lead and participate as a member of the site facilities emergency response team

  • Any other task assigned by supervisor or management

  • Step in to fill the role of a direct report when needed

  • Support and drive CBS initiatives across the site

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: Five (5) years of experience in Maintenance and Repair, Manufacturing or Construction field, including prior experience in a Lead position

  • Knowledge: Must have a full understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) including how they operate and how they can best fit the needs of the facilities department; Strong business acumen

  • Skills/Abilities: Must demonstrate good leadership and people skills; Ability to plan, schedule and review the work and performance of subordinates; Capable of handling a crew of skilled craftsmen; Ability to handle the stress of dealing with multiple tasks at once; Ability to make decisions quickly during crisis situations; Computer literate and able to work within a Microsoft Windows environment

  • Education/Certification: High school degree required

  • Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree in Engineering, Electronics, Facilities Management or Operations

  • Formal supervisory experience

  • A California License for Electrical, Mechanical &/or Plumbing is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment

  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE

  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes; hazardous equipment and materials

  • May wear Specialized Protective or Safety Equipment such as Breathing Apparatus, Safety Harness, or Full Protection Suits

  • May be exposed to high places including spending time climbing ladders or scaffolds

  • May spend time kneeling, crouching, stooping, or crawling

  • Flexible and willing to work nights and weekends, if necessary

Sitting: up to 30% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

Lifting (in pounds): up to 40 pounds

Pushing (in pounds): up to 75 pounds

Mental/Visual: use of computer

Workspace: cubicle/desk
