Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to in Lynnwood, WA.

Job Summary:

The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the work of engineers and/or technicians, as well as applying knowledge of engineering theories and methods to design, integrate, test and improve systems or related processes.

Essential Functions: 

  • Provide leadership to assigned engineering staff and manage multiple projects in a fast paced product development environment

  • Manage the team by organizing work and setting priorities

  • Hire and develop a skilled, technically proficient, and motivated team

  • Create and execute data driven action plans to improve standard work and performance

  • Plan, organize and lead multiple projects including scheduling preparation and reporting

  • Provide technical management oversight of assigned work

  • Determine resources, tools and processes needed to support legacy and new development programs

  • Ensure standardization of products and processes.

  • Sustain a safe workplace through the establishment and support of Company policy

  • Drive continuous improvement through the implementation of the Crane Business System

  • Lead kaizen events and master a variety of CBS tools

  • Communicate best practices within the Crane organization 

  • Assist in achieving Strategic Plan objectives

  • Any other task assigned by supervisor or management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5 years of experience in aerospace product design and manufacturing. 3 years of experience as a lead or supervisor.

  • Knowledge: Demonstrated budgeting, planning, and assigning resources. Demonstrated experience with manufacturing standards, engineering processes and best practices.

  • Skills/Abilities: Ability to provide leadership to assigned staff. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills. Demonstrated multi-tasking and prioritization skills.

  • Education/Certification: BS in Engineering or related technical BA degree or equivalent experience.

Working Conditions: 

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment

  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE

  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes

  • Requires approximately 5% travel to support customers

Standing: 90% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

Sitting: 10% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task

Lifting (in pounds): up to 25 pounds

Pushing (in pounds): up to 25 pounds

Mental/Visual: use of computer

Workspace (line, cube, etc): cubicle/desk
