Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accounting Clerk. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for assisting with financial services, data entry, general ledger accounting, payroll management, and other accounting tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong math background and a passion for numbers.

Responsibilities:

- Working knowledge of QuickBooks

- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of financial transactions

- Assist with general ledger accounting tasks, including reconciling accounts and preparing journal entries

- Process payroll and ensure accurate calculations of wages, taxes, and deductions

- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures

- Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting processes

- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

- Utilize accounting software such as Workday or PeopleSoft to perform daily tasks

- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to internal controls

- Provide support to the accounting team as needed

Qualifications:

- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

- Strong understanding of debits, credits, and basic accounting principles

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial software systems is a plus
