Craft Technical Solutions is Hiring a Concrete Finisher Near Houston, TX
Craft and Technical Solutions is an established Marine and Industrial Staffing Company with offices all over the country. We partner with businesses as well as jobseekers to place individuals into positions efficiently. We are currently in need of Concrete Finishers to join our team in Houston, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret blueprints and execute the placement of forms, block outs, vapor barriers, and reinforcement in accordance with the drawings.
- Manage form setup and ensure it meets grade, plumb, and alignment requirements.
- Validate subgrade quality and confirm the presence and correct placement of thickened slab footings.
- Arrange anchor bolt templates as per shop drawings.
- Lay out rebar templates for vertical bars.
- Oversee the installation of grade pins and screed rails.
- Determine appropriate measures for cold or hot weather conditions.
- Conduct daily on-site hazard assessments and implement necessary safety measures.
- Build formwork for pouring concrete.
- Establish a ground outline of the structure using string and pegs to guide excavation.
- Pour, finish, and cure horizontal and vertical concrete projects.
- Interpret plans and specifications to determine material requirements, dimensions, and installation methods.
- Cut, assemble, nail, and shape materials using hand and power tools.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating a wide range of hand tools.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a concrete finisher or similar role.
- Possess a solid understanding of OSHA regulations.
- Comfortable working at elevated heights when necessary.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Capable of frequent stooping, kneeling, balancing, and crawling, with the ability to occasionally lift 75 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail.
