Crew Foreman – Enhancements

Reports to: Operations Manager 

Manages and Facilitates: Technicians, and Laborers.

Summary:

As a Crew Foreman for Crabapple LandscapExperts, you will be responsible for setting daily goals and managing your crew while executing all on-site, day-to-day aspects of landscape construction projects to meet or exceed the project schedule goals. 

Duties:

• Supervise, delegate, coordinate, and schedule the day-to-day work activities of your crew following the project schedule.
• Interpret blueprints, and production notes and perform site layout.
• Operate required equipment and tools in a safe responsible, and effective manner.
• Build masonry structures such as walls, patios, and other various hardscape features. 
• Build landscape features, such as the shaping and grading of soils, and the installation of finish materials. 
• Perform planting of trees, shrubs, perennials, and sod. 
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by inspecting, lubricating, and cleaning daily.
• Complete Daily paperwork, timesheets, and vehicle daily inspection forms. 
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in assigned trucks, trailers, equipment, job sites, and shop/yard areas.
• Perform work activities safely and efficiently, and ensure crew members follow required PPE standards. 
• As requested, conduct on-site orientations with new employees and employees in new positions.
• Assist in the day-to-day training, development, teamwork, and compliance to policy of subordinates.

Work Conditions:

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
• Excellent stamina is required
• Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles regularly 
• Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold 
• Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years experience in the landscape construction industry
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Possess a current Medical DOT Card or be able to obtain one with one month of employment 
• Carry and use a smartphone or data-enabled device for communication and reporting
