PBD is seeking a Project Architect/Architectural Designer to join our Corporate Interiors and Architecture team in Chicago.

The primary responsibilities of the Project Architect/Architectural Designer is to ensure the technical and design intent of each project is carried out in the form of design and construction documents. At Partners by Design, we look for people that have a strong desire to collaborate and work as a team. The Project Architect/Architectural Designer is involved from project start to completion and is able to contribute to all phases of the project. This team based environment thrives on input from all members of the studio resulting in a culture that is creative and energetic while producing exceptional projects!

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with great team members on both Interior and Shell/Core architecture and design projects.
2. Work as member of a team from project inception to completion
3. Work with the team on a project to ensure execution of the design intent into the construction documents and throughout construction administration
4. Communicate with team and client on technical impact and budget related issues while providing direction
5. Work through all phases of project process
6. Prepare accurate and detailed technical documents
7. Prepare and document required code research for project
8. Coordinate quality architectural and consultant services within a project team
9. Add value to all meetings and company culture

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Interior Architecture from an accredited school
2. 3-8 years' experience working in Architecture and in Corporate/Workplace Interiors
3. Proficient in Revit
4. Solid understanding of technical aspects and what a complete contract document set consists of
5. Excellent communication, technical and visualization skills to communicate design ideas
6. Experience working throughout all stages of projects from concept to completion
7. A detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
8. Salary based on AIA Salary Survey and years of experience
