CPV Manufacturing is Hiring a Government Account/Compliance Specialist Near Kennett, PA

Summary:

This position manages key government sales related accounts and is responsible for overseeing the coordinated effort to ensure customer satisfaction and grow government related sales. This position also works with existing and potential customers – following up on quote status and determining their short-and-long term need. This position blends government account management, compliance, and project management to create a streamlined process for ensuring multiple disciplines work cohesively to meet targeted deadlines. This position is also responsible for creating and maintaining the company compliance calendar, handling customer surveys, questionnaires, and developing a system for housing the information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hunt: Aggressively prospect, identify, quality, and develop sales pipeline within the U.S. Government Vertical – Department of Defense and Systems Integrators.
  • Drive efforts to meet and/or exceed revenue goals by developing opportunities with new and existing Federal Government customers.
  • Working closely with the Government Support Specialist coordinating with the Customer Service Manager as appropriate.
  • Uses government bid software to search out opportunities for CPV and acts to bring those opportunities to fruition.
  • Follow through on status of quotes where a response has not been received after initial inquiry from Inside Technical Sales Associates.
  • Create and manage reporting mechanism to capture necessary data to influence future decisions.
  • Build relationships with customers to access and identify key decision makers.
  • Build and maintain company compliance calendar. Communicate timelines and manage information gathering and submissions
  • Uses appropriate qualification and/or verification procedures where required for new customers and special orders
  • Takes initiative in pursuing opportunities to reach out to current or potential customers to drive revenue.
  • Complies with all company and department policies and procedures
  • Develops a strong operational working relationship with other departments to leverage their knowledge base
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications:

  • 2 years of successful DoD sales with expertise in at least one major DoD component (Army, Navy, Air Force).
  • Education: Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in a customer service position for a technical product

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present oneself as well as the company in a professional manner
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative and problem solve
  • Ability to work cross functionally to achieve success
  • Proficient in learning and using various government and government related portal and tools

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to use a computer is required for this position. The work environment is primarily in the office, noise level is minimal.
  • Travel up to 15% of the time may be needed.
