Clinical Staff Pharmacist - Full Time

Description: As a full-time, nonexempt, CPS Solutions, LLC Clinical Staff Pharmacist, 50% of your time will be spent participating in the daily monitoring of drug regimens to optimize patient care and improve medication safety to include renal dosing, vancomycin and aminoglycoside dosing and TPN formulation and monitoring. You will participate in multidisciplinary rounds as needed and interact with physicians and nurses to facilitate safe and effective medication therapy, and participate in antibiotic and opioid stewardship programs. This position entails participating in clinical and operational meetings as designated by the Clinical Pharmacy Manager. The other 50% of your time will be spent as a staff pharmacist and you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.
Schedule: This position will work 40 hours per week consiting of various shifts. This position will work on a rotating weekend schedule, as well as a rotating holiday and on-call schedule as needed.
About the Facility: Lake Charles Memorial Hospital is the region's largest family-centered medical complex, serving the healthcare needs of Southwest Louisiana. Memorial consists of a 391-bed acute-care hospital, with a 324-bed facility at the main campus on Oak Park Boulevard; Memorial Hospital for Women, a 38-bed women's facility at Gauthier and Nelson Roads. The hospital is fully licensed by Joint Commission. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
