CPS Distributors - Grand Junction is Hiring a Counter Driver Associate Near Grand Junction, CO

CPS Grand Junction, a partner of Heritage LSG is actively seeking a self-motivated, customer service-oriented individual that is a team player. This full-time Counter Driver will be responsible for order entry at the sales counter with other related warehouse duties such as stocking shelves, shipping product, loading trucks and driving. Workweek is Monday through Friday, with an opportunity for overtime during the busy season. Pay range: $22.00 and up (D.O.E.)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Entering orders at point of sale using the company computer system
  • Interacting with customers over the phone, via email and in person
  • Order picking/staging
  • Replenishment
  • Shipping/receiving
  • Loading/unloading delivery vehicles
  • Delivering product to customers and branch locations
  • An eye for safety including pre-trip inspections, securing loads and strict adherence to DOT/CDL regulations.
  • Understanding and adherence to the regulations detailed in the FMCSA.
  • Other related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic computer knowledge, including keyboard (typing), mouse and Internet use
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Verifiable driving history
  • Forklift experience helpful
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs on a repetitive basis
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred, but not required
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug test and DOT physical

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $18 to $20 per hour. SRS/Heritage considers multiple factors including job related knowledge, skillset and experience when determining the final salary.
