The Opportunity

This role of the principal leader is responsible for leading, developing, implementing, and monitoring effective construction management services including new business prospects, technical delivery, staff development, fostering both the Consor quality and safety programs, production methods and standards all within established company goals and objectives. Responsible for the development of project strategies, goals and services with company, regional, area and local managers. This role will be instrumental in overseeing the delivery of profitable ongoing construction services operations, as well as the growth and establishment of new construction services operations, which include recruiting key leaders as well as developing strategic teaming partners and acquisition considerations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervises, assigns and schedules municipal construction staff.
• Coordinates with other PM’s from TPD , Water, etc. for staffing.
• Perform workload projections.
• Coordinates training for construction staff.
• Works in concert with marketing leaders to win new projects, identifying prime and sub opportunities for municipal pursuits.
• Coordinates with the TDOT Bridge Program team to coordinate construction services and to perform as the lead liaison between the design and construction side of the program.
• Works to develop relationships to increase our role as a trusted advisor with the different departments inside Metro’s organization.
• Typical Sr. Project Management duties and responsibilities as assigned for municipal clients. These may include a variety of stormwater, utility, transportation, and construction engineering projects for municipal clients.
• Works with the team to help develop Alternative Delivery projects, DB, CMGC, etc.

Required Credentials

• Bachelor’s degree in a professional area of study relevant to the Construction Management practice (engineering or construction related)
• 15 years progressive leadership experience in large, complex organizations with 5 years of demonstrated success at the executive level. Preference given to a consulting background with Construction Engineering & Inspection experience in the transportation or water fields.
• Demonstrated experience in development and management of diverse teams.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and program management.
• Demonstrated experience in the analysis and interpretation of business financial data.
