SENIOR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE PROJECT MANAGER
Serving in a leadership capacity, those in this role lead multidisciplinary project teams in the development of landscape architecture programs, plans and designs, consistently bringing outside-the-box visions to life. The Senior Landscape Architecture Project Manager utilizes extensive experience in the design of parks, urban plazas, streetscapes, greenways, and other developments to lead CPL’s dedicated teams in preparing site plans, elevations and perspective views.
Reporting to a Principal, you establish project timelines; balance client needs and budgets; consolidate construction documents and design details; schedule, attend and lead design charrettes; and engage in reviews with various governing agencies. As an experienced Project Manager you are also tasked with developing and mentoring those under your supervision.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Strong ability to prioritize and juggle critical tasks, seeing them through to completion while maintaining high design standards and adhering to established project timelines
Ability to foster a creative team environment
Experience leading and collaborating with teams to implement innovative design methods and provide deliverables on time or ahead of schedule
Deep knowledge of AutoCAD, Lumion, Revit and other relevant design programs
Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite, the Microsoft Office Suite and SketchUp
You earned a BS (or MS) in landscape architecture from an accredited institution and have a minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience
You’re a registered Landscape Architect
You have a portfolio of completed projects
CORE DUTIES
Assist the marketing team in the development of project procurement presentations
Develop design plans for exterior spaces and physical environments
Prepare and oversee project design drawings and details
Ensure state and regulatory guidelines are being followed throughout project design efforts
Establish, maintain and nurture relationships with clients, contractors and project teams
Lead public input meetings and design charrettes
Prepare technical specifications and project manuals
Manage project invoicing and budgeting
Direct bidding, permitting and construction observation as needed for a given project
Supervisory requirements, including recruitment and retention of talent including:
Engage and foster the growth of CPL team members. Provide encouragement and regular feedback; and serve as a mentor/example for all levels of the team.
Manage/oversee career conversations with your team on an established schedule (annual career conversations, regular check-ins, and the development of career plans for each team member)
Develop future leaders within the organization (train your replacement)
Engage, motivate, and lead internal and external stakeholders to develop strategies and plans to move the organization in the desired direction.
