Morris County progressive CPA firm seeking a Tax Manager with recent public accounting experience. This is a key role with high potential for growth and career advancement.

General responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

• Review (and sometimes prepare) business, individual and fiduciary tax returns (1065, 1120, 1120-S, 1040, 1041, etc.)
• Manage client tax engagements and work with staff to deliver year round tax services including tax projections, estimated tax payments, general inquiry, etc.
• Provide tax research and work with partners on client technical matters
• Assist and train staff in tax preparation, research, workpapers, etc.
• Work with partners and clients to resolve tax audits and other tax agency inquiries and matters
• Other tax services as needed

Qualifications:

• Must have recent public accounting experience, of which at least 5 years as a tax manager with diverse client industries, etc.
• CPA or EA a must
• Working knowledge of Pro Series Tax software and the ability to prepare or help prepare returns as needed (practical experience a must)
• Solid understanding of GAAP and strong accounting skills
• Strong communication, written and leadership skills
• Ability to work under pressure and multi task
• Willingness and ability to work on site on a daily basis (this is not a remote position)
