What will you be doing?

The Bartender role is responsible for mixing and serving alcoholic beverages based on guests’ requests. A Coyo Bartender is knowledgeable about mixology and can mix traditional drinks as well as crafting creative cocktails. A successful Bartender Lead, you should be able to lead a team of people and ensure that all duties are performed accurately. Ultimately, a top Bartender Lead should be able to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.

What we are looking for:

• Mix traditional and creative Coyo Taco cocktails.
• Process payment from guests and maintain tabs throughout their shift
• Clean glasses and bar utensils.
• Make suggestions based on guest tastes and preferences.
• Sets up and close assigned bars; requisitions and stocks all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
• Ensure garnishes, mixers and liquors are restocked and replenished
• Complete requisitions to replenish shortages or additional items needed for anticipated business.
• Performs bar checks with Manager.
• Ensures Bar Prep Procedures are being followed and assists for establishing par levels
• Keep all liquor cupboards and closets locked when not in use.
• Alert the MOD and/or shift leads to any potential trouble or suspicious situations with the bar.
• Executes opening and closing checklist
• Perform daily walkthrough of the bars, inspect, and advise on repairs and maintenance
• Ensure all POS are in working order prior to and after each shift
• Oversee and control batches, ensuring they are properly made and properly labeled.
• Work in a high-paced environment, while constantly multitasking
• Someone with a friendly, enthusiastic attitude
• Someone that loves to help and serve others (both guests and team members)
• Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; maintain bar areas clean and organized at all times, free of debris and hazardous items
• Adheres to state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements:

You must be at least 18 years old to work with us at the bar.

Two years of bartending or related experience in a full-service restaurant

You need to be able to communicate in the primary language(s) of the work location.

Frequent bending, stooping, and twisting on a consistent basis

Maneuvering of hand cart, blenders, knives, slicers, wine keys, and other tools listed in the training manual

You must be able to stand for extended periods of time and push/pull/lift 30 pounds.

Respectful to coworkers, management and costumers.

Must have or be able to take a food safety class, for responsible food handling practices. As well as a responsible alcohol vendors course.
