Summary
- The Oncology Registered Nurse provides direct patient care specializing in the administration of chemotherapy, blood components, fluid and electrolyte replacements, and other oncology treatments as prescribed. Nursing care is focused on specialized assessment, diagnosis, planning, treatment, evaluation, education, and support for the patient and family. The Oncology Registered Nurse is skilled with peripheral intravenous catheter insertion, accessing implanted ports, and the care and management of central lines and implanted ports.
- Education
- Required: Graduate of an approved nursing program
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

- Preferred: Previous nursing experience

- Demonstrate effective leadership abilities
