CoxHealth is Hiring a CT Simulation Technologist - Radiation Therapy Near Springfield, MO

Summary

Job Summary
- An employee with responsibility/accountability for performing all simulation procedures along with basic dosimetry tasks. Responsible for correctly planning and simulating radiation treatment fields as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. Assists radiation therapists when needed and works with the medical physicist with the preparation and delivery of brachytherapy radiation treatments. Works as a team member toward defining the mission, goals, budget and performance standards for the department to produce a desired outcome in cooperation with other health care team members.
Job Requirements
- Education
  - - Required: Graduate of ARRT accredited School of Radiological Technology.
    - Preferred: Completed 24 month course in Radiologic Technology or a Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience
  - - Required: Successful completion of a CT Training Program OR 1 Year CT experience
    - Preferred: 1-2 Years Related Experience.
- Skills
  - - Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
    - Knowledge of current diagnostic radiology technical information.
    - Proficient in using computers and computer systems.
    - Excellent time management, interpersonal, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision-making, and planning skills.
    - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    - Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration
  - - Required: R.T. (R) (CT) (ARRT). or certification obtained within 6 months of hire
    - Preferred: A.R.R.T.- R.T.(R).
