Compensation includes a base salary of $64,200.00 - $96,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

At Manheim (a Cox Automotive company), we give a variety of vehicles a second life. We're looking for a Supervisor, Vehicle Maintenance, to help keep the process as well-oiled as the vehicles we restore.

In this role, you'll assist the reconditioning manager in overseeing daily operations. Are you at your best while bringing the best out in others?

What You'll Do

Provides day-to-day direction and guidance to Reconditioning team members and allied vendors / service providers.

Supervises and directs the work of assigned Technicians by determining work procedures, expediting workflow, assigning duties and examining work for accuracy and conformance to policies and procedures.

Ensures the full range of reconditioning work is performed according to company standards, applicable regulation and customer expectations;

work includes : o Vehicle cleaning and preparation, including washing, wheel cleaning, waxing and buffing, polishing, removing finish defects, assistance with paint applications and minor repairs, o Inspecting finished body panels for color match and finish texture, o Preparing surfaces for buffing, o Restoring finish panels to OEM quality, o Removing and cleaning compound or polish residue from buffed panels o Moving vehicles to support production flow through detailing and painting processes, o Completing work order documentation.

Purchases equipment, materials and supplies.

Supervises the completion of work order forms to ensure accurate vehicle records.

Approves and forwards bills and invoices to Accounting.

Reviews work volumes, planning and monitoring staff levels to ensure efficiency, quality and effective customer service.

Ensures shop and work areas are kept clean and tidy.

Enforces company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.

Who You Are

You're passionate about leadership and are comfortable delegating responsibility and planning projects. But most of all, you've got a love of cars, from the Alpha-Romeo to the Zenos.

Here are some of the qualifications that brought you here :

Minimum

HS Diploma / GED and 4 years of relevant experience in a related field (vehicle reconditioning, detailing, mechanical and / or body shop experience);

or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.

Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles.

Competent supervisory and excellent organizational skills.

Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Previous people-leader experience

Previous vehicle reconditioning (body or mechanical) experience

Preferred

Excellent people, teamwork, and customer service skills.

Strong communication and interaction skills.

A working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations is preferred.
