Coworx Staffing Services is Hiring an Inventory specialist Near Salt Lake, UT

CoWorx has partnered with a Distribution Center that specializes in refurbished telecommunication systems, in search of Inventory Specialist to join their team in Salt Lake City, UT.

The Inventory Specialist also known as a Logistics Technician, will be responsible for supporting the processes for incoming, outgoing, storage of materials and equipment and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.

This opportunity will provide hands-on experience with inventory control, computer data / system solutions, business communications, and business intelligence.

The schedule will be Monday to Friday, 7 : 30am to 4pm and the payrate starts at $18.50 per hour, with potential for a hire rate depending on experience.

Responsibilities :

  • Put away received material to inventory, verify documentation, and record data into computer system.
  • Put products in assigned location, rotating stock as required.
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
  • Replenish shelves that have low inventory, especially high-demand items.
  • Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, or other labeling equipment.
  • Perform cycle counts of product.
  • Pick and stage items onto pallets for QC inspection.
  • Verify picked orders by quantities and part number.
  • Pull orders from pick tickets and prepare for shipment which may include palletizing and preparing shipping documents.
  • Load and unload trucks while verifying shipping documents.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • General warehouse housekeeping.
  • Operate forklift in a consistently safe manner.
  • Other duties as outlined by leadership.

Desired Background / Skills :

Requirements / Key Experiences

  • 3-5 years’ logistics or warehouse experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
  • Demonstrates a high-quality work ethic by exhibiting professional attitude, honesty, integrity, and reliability.
  • Customer service orientation
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, self-directed environment

Other Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to utilize a telephone, computer, monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
  • Ability to regularly lift or maneuver up to 75 lbs., stand, bend, walk, lift, and reach.
  • Comfortable working in a large, open space Warehouse environment exposed to some heat / cold elements.
  • Continually required to :
  • Stand during schedule up to 7 hours / day.
  • Utilize hand and finger dexterity / motor skills.
  • Bend.
  • Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information.
  • Lift / carry / reach up items repeatedly up to 20 pounds and occasionally to push up to 60 pounds.
