Covia has an immediate opening for a Utility position at the Kermit, TX. Facility. Qualified individuals will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience and progress to operating mobile and stationary equipment. This position is on a 1 week on/1 week off rotation.

The successful incumbent will have the following Key Accountabilities:

• Utilize HMI to optimize the operations of Wash Plant to SOP standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
• Safely and correctly operate heavy mobile equipment.
• Assist with additional maintenance projects as needed.
• Perform and document daily safety checks on heavy equipment and area inspections.
• General housekeeping of the plant.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner, following all safety regulations and safe work practices.
• Maintain daily positive communication with other shift(s) regarding production, quality and general plant performance.
• Other duties as assigned

The successful incumbent will have the following Minimum Qualifications:

• Good English communication skills - written and verbal

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs and work at elevated heights in all weather conditions
• Safety awareness
• Mechanical and electrical experience preferred
• Demonstrated commitment to safety with previous experience in identifying and managing risks
• Computer working experience
