Master Certified Technician / Automotive Mechanic
This position is located in Austin, Texas
Covert Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is looking for Certified Master Technicians to join their industry leading Service Team! Enjoy excellent pay and performance incentives at a dealership where your skills will be recognized and rewarded!
Job Responsibilities:
- Confer with customers or service advisors to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems and discuss work to be performed and future repair requirements
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc
- Able to explain mechanical problems and needed repairs to Service Advisors and vehicle owners in a non-technical manner
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay in line with rapidly changing technology
