Covenant Physician Partners is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near Lewiston, ME

Central Maine Eye Care, a Covenant Physician Partner, is hiring a Fulltime Ophthalmic Technician located in Lewiston, ME.

About the Opportunity

Working with patients who have cataracts, corneal disease, glaucoma, diabetes, and surgical patients undergoing treatment for these diseases, the OA will work closely with the optometrist, ophthalmologist, and support staff in a clinic setting. Hours for this position are Monday through Friday with no weekends or major holidays.

About the Candidate

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Medical Assistant or Ophthalmic Assistant / Tech experience
  • Ability to perform patient work ups (VA, pressure, history, ancillaries)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ophthalmology experience is strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in Ophthalmology clinic, practice, or surgery center setting preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with physicians and all medical professionals.
  • Able to maintain and comply with patient confidentiality and integrity policy on all matters
