The Porter ensures high quality cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen and Dining room areas and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Sweeps and mops all floor areas in kitchen, dining room, hall ways and walk-in refrigerator/freezer.
• Washes and sanitizes pots, pans and utensils and puts away in their appropriate storage areas.
• Maintains the cleanliness of all counter tops and bottoms, shelving, walls, ovens, steam tables.
• Ensures that all foods are properly rotated, wrapped, dated and refrigerated or frozen at the request of the cook or supervisor.
• Receives and inspects food supplies and assists cook/supervisor in determining quality.
• Maintain and ensures cleanliness of all kitchen equipment by accepted methods of sanitation established by Health Department standards.
• Assists as needed with special events and fundraising affairs which may be conducted outside normal work schedule.
• Applicant Must be available to work the following schedule: Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 9:00AM - 1:00 PM
• Applicant Must be fully vaccinated for covid 19

Experience and Skills:

• 3-6 months of commercial kitchen experience
• General knowledge of food equipment and cleaning materials
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work flexible schedule
• Sanitation Certificate a plus but not necessary
