Covenant Health is Hiring a PRN Activities Aide Near Lubbock, TX

Description

The Integrative Care Activities Assistant will assist the child life and arts in medicine team in providing developmentally-based activities (e.g., play, creative arts, and community visitor events/performances) at the bedside and/or therapeutic playroom spaces to enhance the psychosocial adjustment and developmental needs of our pediatric patients and their families. The assistant will assist in training and supervising child life and artist volunteers, organize group recreational activities, and assist in maintaining a safe and organized environment.

Required qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

  • 1 year experience in caring for children, preferably in a childcare, day camp, or school setting.

Preferred qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Development & Family Studies or other related field
