Covenant Christian School (CCS) is a ministry of Covenant Global Methodist Church. Our desire is to partner with parents in educating students academically and discipling them spiritually. We provide a solid Christian education to students in Morgantown, WV and the surrounding areas. CCS educates students pre-k3 through 8th grade using Biblically based curriculum that has proven to have a high academic standard. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who loves Jesus to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating lesson plans, delivering lectures, assessing student progress, and providing guidance to students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and be able to effectively communicate with students of all ages. We are looking for someone who is committed to helping our students reach their full potential and who can create a positive and Christ-centered learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a life dedicated to Christ and Biblical teaching.
- Develop lesson plans that are appropriate for the grade level and subject matter.
- Provide instruction in the classroom setting.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback.
- Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.
- Develop positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Attend faculty meetings and professional development sessions.
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress.
- Be available to assist with teaching electives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Teaching certification or license
- Proven experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and teaching
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
