CoveCare Center has a full-time opening for a Children’s Community Based Services Coordinator/OLP Clinician. We are seeking an individual who shares our vision of partnering with individuals, families and the community to foster hope, wellness and recovery.

The Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Program Director with program development and the daily operation of the programs. The Coordinator will also carry a caseload within the Child & Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS) Program, providing in-home therapy to children and adolescents up to the age of 21 and Medicaid enrolled. Other Licensed Practitioner is a term that refers to non-physician licensed behavioral health practitioners (NP-LBPHPs). The clinical service is intended to help prevent the progression of behavioral health needs through early identification and intervention and may be provided to children/youth in need of assessment for whom behavioral health conditions have not yet been diagnosed. Services are also intended to provide treatment for children/youth with an existing diagnosis for whom flexible community-based treatment is needed to correct ameliorate conditions identified during an assessment process, such as problems in functioning or capacity for healthy relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Assures that all requisite documentation/billing is completed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with appropriate regulations;
• Provides guidance and support to program staff;
• Assist in the direct supervision of clinical and non-clinical staff;
• In conjunction with the Program Director, provides staff with updated information on agency-wide activities and other related services in the community;
• Assists Program Director in preparing administrative, fiscal, statistical, and clinical reports
• Provides an initial licensed evaluation of new applicants and determines if the client meets medical necessity;
• Provides individual, group, and family therapy on-site, in the field, or in the home;
• Provides crisis intervention and makes recommendations for treatment and referral;
• Coordinates with other providers involved in the individual’s treatment;
• Creates treatment plan in order to describe the condition and services needed for care, detailing scope/practices to be provided, expected outcome, and expected frequency and duration of the treatment for each provider;
• Attend required supervision, meetings, and training;
• Continuous monitoring that family choice and voice are present in service delivery;
• Facilitates hospitalization and collaborates with inpatient staff regarding treatment and discharge planning;
• Assists with program and agency crises;
• Be a part of the after-hours crisis rotation

Qualifications:

• Licensed by NYS in any of the following fields; Psychoanalyst, Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Mental Health Counselor or Master Social Worker.
• At least three years of experience in a community-based mental health/chemical dependency facility is needed and at least one of which includes supervisory and administrative responsibilities.
• A thorough knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques used in mental health and the factors that contribute to personality development, and a thorough knowledge of the social factors affecting mental health is required.
• Must have basic computer literacy and excellent verbal and written skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
