Cove Communities is Hiring a FOOD SERVER Near Casco, ME

Point Sebago Resort - Casco Maine

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greets all guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Provides a high level of service when assisting customers in ordering and delivering food orders according to established protocols.
  • Coordinates and communicates any special dietary requirement of guests to the kitchen.
  • Keeps Lead Server aware of any issues that in a timely manner and assists in resolution.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station.
  • Develops and maintain friendly relationship with regular patrons of the restaurant.
  • Coordinates with kitchen staff and customers and ensure timely delivery of all services.
  • Works to meet revenue goals by establishing and maintaining a complete course of order to customers including salad, drinks and main course.
  • Must be efficient in cash handling procedures, and maintain a working knowledge of the POS system and its functions including but not limited to credit card and gift card transactions.
  • Makes sure that all daily revenue and server tip reports are reconciled and given to accounting at the end of every day.
  • Ability to carry drink tray and food tray appropriately
  • Ensures that checklists, requisitions and proper opening and closing functions are being completed each shift.
  • Assists Food and Beverage Manager to decorate the bar area for theme weekends Supports and follows Cove Communities and Point Sebago policy at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Superior customer service skills
  • ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis and able to withstand long periods of time on your feet
  • TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to function well at a high pace, sometimes high-stress environment
  • Comfortable effectively communicating with all levels of guests and staff
  • Night and weekend work is required
