Description

We seek a dedicated individual who will be responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties providing exceptional customer service at a municipal solid waste transfer station.

Responsibilities include :

• Perform general site maintenance including, but not limited to yard work, track maintenance, janitorial work, and minor repairs
• Maintain effective equipment checks (pre and post-operations)
• Maintain various items at the transfer station for continual operation
• Perform inspections effectively and accurately in accordance with state-mandated Waste Ban Regulations.
• Ensure that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Perform facility inspection checks as assigned by a Supervisor.
• Follow and enforce all required Covanta safety policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

To be considered for this position, the individual must have :

• Experience working at sites regulated by OSHA preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Good customer services skills to meet and exceed customer expectations
• Must be flexible to work different shifts, including weekends.
• Acts in a professional, courteous, and cooperative manner toward customers and co-workers

Shift Work

Weekly Rotating day and night shift weekly with intermittent mid-shift schedule.

• 6 : 30 3 : 00 (Mon- Sat)
• 3 : 00 Close (Mon-Fri)
