Courtyard/Residence Inn is Hiring a Cook PT Near Orlando, FL

Overview

The Cook is responsible for cooking, preparing, and garnishing all hot food and cold food for Restaurants, Amenities, Room Service, Banquets, and all Catered events using recipe instructions, proper portioning methods and cooking standards. 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food based on daily needs using proper recipe procedure 
  • Set up and maintains station with correct food products and utensils 
  • Operate cooking equipment such as griddles, grills, deep fryers, ovens and any other cooking equipment that may be used. 
  • Clean and sanitize the work area including counters, utensils, cutting boards, preparation area and floors 
  • Properly label and date all products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation 
  • Apply basic knife skills required for preparation of hot and cold foods 
  • Ensure the proper temperature of equipment for proper food storage
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment to perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner 
  • Demonstrate professional demeanor at all times 
  • Perform all opening, running, and closing procedures 
  • Perform any job function requested by the management team 

Qualifications

Flexibility - This is a demanding business and we look for flexibility with work days and hours, but it’s also a lot of fun! 

Experience - Bring two years of culinary training or related kitchen experience. 

Knowledge - Quality knowledge of food safety, sanitation, food products, and food service equipment. 

A qualified applicant is a “people person” who is flexible with their schedule, loves to cook, and knows a thing or two about kitchen safety and cleanliness.
