Job Description:

Fire-EMS Technician (I, II, III)

Page County Fire-EMS is accepting applications for the full-time position of Fire-EMS Technician (I, II, III). This position is responsible for responding to fire and medical emergencies, traffic crashes, and hazardous materials incidents while adhering to established regional and agency treatment protocols, procedures, and county policies.

Salary range for this position is $42,000 - $56,400, depending on EMS certification level and years of experience. Benefits include health insurance, VRS, life insurance, paid vacation, and this position qualifies for the VRS Hazardous Duty Supplement.

The Fire-EMS Technician will work 24-hour shifts at one of the three EMS stations in the County. The schedule is a rotating pattern of 24 hours on, 24 hours off, 24 hours on, 24 hours off, 24 hours on, and 96 hours off. The department also allows for a Kelley day.

The following certifications are required at the time of hire:

EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P VAOEMS
EVOC Class II VAOEMS Approved Agency
Firefighter I VDFP/Pro Board
Driver’s License Commonwealth of Virginia
HazMat Operations VDFP/Pro Board
FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 FEMA EMI
