Click here for more information on the County of Orange.THE OPPORTUNITYThe Assessor's Office is seeking a candidate who will assist with the production and maintenance of the Assessor Department's electronic document storage and retrieval system (DSAR) by using the OnBase Imaging System and ATS II (Assessment Tax System). IT System Technician I’s will ensure the electronic document database operates efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of the users and the department. The incumbent will maintain and monitor workstations, scanners, storage devices, and associated hardware. Additionally, they will oversee the Typical Production Control tasks such as ensuring data integrity and availability, as well as monitoring performance and resolving issues that arise during operation. Furthermore, the IT Systems Technician I will monitor and verify ATS II jobs are correctly scheduled, executed and delivered in the desired format within the agreed timeframe. Provided quality assurance for the department’s products such as balancing Supplemental and Annual Rolls and create Annual Roll Value Reports. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AND CORE COMPETENCIES One year of directly related experience that demonstrates the competencies and attributes listed in the minimum qualifications. The ideal IT Systems Technician I will possess professional experience, ability, and/or knowledge in the following core competencies: TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE I TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGEConfiguring the OnBase Document Management System including creating, importing, modifying, and deleting document types, users (all security levels), user groups, scan queues, and scan formatsContinuously monitor data quality through various validation checksOperating and maintaining high-speed enterprise production scannersFacilitating systems production control such as scheduling, submitting jobs, verifying, and publicizing reportsPreparing technical reports via Excel, Word, Outlook, or Adobe PDFPROBLEM SOLVING I ANALYTICAL SKILLSIdentifying technical issues and problems with associated hardware, OnBase, or ATS II and implementing viable solutions Working under pressure with competing deadlinesAdapting quickly to changes in policies, procedures, assignments, and work locationsINTERPERSONAL SKILLS I TEAMWORKConducting ongoing training and support sessions with OnBase to end usersEnsuring end users have the knowledge and resources to adhere to established data management practicesCOMMUNICATION SKILLS I ORAL & WRITTENResponding quickly, courteously, and proficiently to customer service requests in-person, phone, videotelephony (i.e. MS Teams), or OutlookSetting clear expectations and providing constructive feedback to peers, supervisors, vendors, and internal and external customers at all levelsInteracting courteously and tactfully with client agencies/departments and the publicMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSPlease click here to learn more about the minimum qualifications for the IT Systems Technician I.
