The Mental Health Worker Aide is a key position for the Children's Mental Health Division. This position will be critical in assisting children and youth who are experiencing severe mental illness. The Mental Health Worker Aide is also considered a family advocate who focuses on case coordination, coordination of funding sources, transportation, and interpretation on behalf of monolingual Spanish speaking families. This position will also be assisting therapists in the Children’s Full-Service Partnership unit by linking, connecting, and advocating with different services in the community.
There is currently 1 (one) extra help vacancy. The list established by this recruitment may also be used to fill future extra help vacancies for up to one year. Being bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required.
Experience:
None required. Personal experience and access/advocacy with community mental health services is highly desired.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
License or Certificate:
Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
