Salary Range: $66,695.15 - $83,368.94

The Department of Community Resources (DCR) through its Community Resource Center, supports the core departments of Mecklenburg County Health and Human Services (HHS) in doing their business through an integrated service delivery model of subject-matter experts from each core department and community partners who provide services to County residents in our HHS Community Resource Center. In addition, DCR is responsible for administering Child Support Services and Unified Workforce Development programs, as well as Integrated Health and Human Services Mail Services.

Position Summary
Supervise staff and the overall functions of an assigned area or program. This position is responsible for ensuring quality control and appropriateness of the program, coordinating special projects, and preparing applicable reports. The supervisor also focuses on organizing various sets of information to be shared with other service areas or with State and Federal partners.

Essential Functions

• Oversee day-to-day operations in assigned area and supervise staff
• Assist in the development of program procedures, expectations and other related operations
• Complete monthly and quarterly program reports as needed or requested
• Work closely with other supervisors and managers in all areas
• Communicates regularly with team members and monitors productivity
• Responsible for inventory control of supplies, materials and equipment for assigned program
• May be required to staff shelters in the event of a disaster
• Facilitate correct application of Federal and State policy in determining funding source eligibility for programs
• Prepare for audits and ensure accuracy
• Coordinate the preparation and review of cases for audits from State and Federal partners, monitor progress towards completing preparation, communicate with other service areas to obtain information
• Review requests for vendor payment reimbursement
• Complete research requests usually after hours if there is an emergency need
• Review team’s monthly Quality Sampling results
• Utilize reports to identify cases coming due or due for review and ensure that cases are addressed in a timely manner
• Assist with troubleshooting cases as needed
• Communicate policy changes

Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of five years of social services or human services experience.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Services, health or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of the Child Support Services program and its case management system.

Licenses and Certifications
• Requires a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver's License
• Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Mecklenburg County Operator's Permit
• Annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required
