BROAD STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES :
The KCTC Hospitality / Culinary Instructor shall deliver the State of Michigan Curriculum for CIP (12.) as regulated by the Office of Career and Technical Education to students at Kent Career Technical Center.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Design, prepare, and deliver curriculum content that : Is in alignment with the State of Michigan and the Kent ISD / KCTC curriculum constructs.
Supports student learning through a variety of delivery methods : project-based learning, online, and in-person.Incorporates current equipment and technology into education models.
Supports programs focus on preparing students for post-secondary education experiences such as PBL, Equity, Inclusion, Restorative Practices, Distinguished teacher pedagogical knowledge, etc.
Incorporates cross-curricular concepts of Math, English, and Science.
Maintain an instructional environment that is : Safe.Promotes learning opportunities for all.Provides for an equitable and balanced assessment of student achievement by a variety of methods.
Promotes individual student responsibility and accountability.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED :
Placement on the BA scale is required unless candidate holds a valid State of Michigan Standard CTE teaching certificate.

Kent ISD is a participating employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program for eligible Federal student loans.
