Provides customer service; provides information and answers questions and concerns regarding tax accounts, tax code interpretation and department policies and procedures; investigates and resolves questions, issues, and technical problems; responds to open records request in accordance with legal guidelines; and directs customers to appropriate department or individual as necessary. Analyzes, interprets and evaluates information obtained from state records and other legal instruments; determines legal ownership and proper course of action regarding various property tax situations, including exempt property, business personal property, manufacturing, autos, boats, airplanes, etc.; verifies accuracy and completeness of information and data; and processes information according to department policies and procedures and applicable tax laws and regulations. Performs other related duties as required. Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business or related field required; supplemented by one year of experience in customer service, specialized administrative support, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must have excellent typing skills, attention to detail and accuracy and analyze data for input into a land records management system.
