The Spanish Staff Interpreter is responsible for interpreting services for all court matters, assisting LEP individuals in person and on the phone and translating court forms.
Chester County Court Administration is seeking a Certified Court Interpreter with experience in the legal environment and technical competence in the court interpreting arena. The successful candidate must be a certified court interpreter according to the guidelines and requirements of the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts and be able to interpret in the three modes of interpretation (sight, consecutive and simultaneous) in court proceedings, quasi-judicial hearings and other court related events in person or via a telecommunication device. The qualified candidate will be able to produce translations of documents, such as official forms, public signs, notices, form letters and correspondence. Position includes other administrative duties as needed.Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, lift items, and talk or hear. On rare occasions, the employee will need to crawl; lift items; and kneel, stoop, crouch or squat.
