County of Berks is Hiring a Business Process Analyst (Information Systems Department) Near Reading, PA

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Process Analyst is responsible for developing systems, making system enhancement, and identifying process improvements for the Information Systems and other County departments. The Business Process Analyst will be responsible for re-engineering inefficient processes and workflows. The Business Process Analyst will document before and after use cases for technology implementations. The Business Process Analyst will produce tangible plans to aid in the translation of business objectives into functional requirements and solution designs. The Business Process Analyst also develops, implements, manages, and maintains various web applications. Additionally, this position supports the implementation of new functionality based upon business needs and provides project management/administration to these special projects.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain County internal and third party systems
  • Provide training to County employees on use of internal and third party systems
  • Co-produce and share content for all outward County public meetings via Microsoft Teams, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms
  • Develop and track key performance indicators and benchmarks for the IS department
  • Assist the Help Desk through ticket resolution and end user support

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or other related field of study
  • Three to five years’ experience as an IS Technician or Systems Developer
  • Valid, state-issued driver’s license required for travel to other County locations
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient troubleshooting, problem solving, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally both orally and in writing
  • Ability to conduct training in a comprehensive manner
  • Physical presence in the office is required.
  • Ability to handle stress.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work involves standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, talking, hearing, using hands to handle, feel objects, tools, or controls, and reaching with hands and arms. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds a distance of 15 feet or less.

Normal office environment
