Training Technician Bilingual in Spanish and English- County of Bergen - Department of Human Services - Office for Children
Under direction, prepares and conducts in-service training and compiles information and data into a manual form required for courses; does other related duties as required
Knowledge and Job Responsibilities: (may include but not limited to)
· Ensures training offerings identified by Division of Family Development are accessible/available to community served
· Creates training offerings related to CCDBG topics developed by DFD including Basic Health and Safety, Birth to Three Standards, Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards, Cultural Responsiveness, Dual Language Learners, and other topics as identified by the DFD
· Work with DFD Quality Partners in coordination with Quality Manager
· Participate in committee/focus group/workgroup to help DFD plan training to support FCC and Center Based Providers
· Utilize NJCCIS for all training offerings and coordinate course codes as identified by DFD
· Manage training calendar
· Participate in and assist in planning annual conference
· May develop standard operating procedures for training purposes
· Devises measurable course objectives and corresponding behavioral objectives in teaching outlines and lesson plans to meet appropriate training needs
· Establishes evaluative procedures to determine the progress of participants and effectiveness of training program
· Provides consultation to staff in planning and developing programs either through in-service training and/or formal educational programs in accredited institutions
· Prepares necessary reports and keeps required records and files
Schedule:Monday – Friday / 40hrs/wk
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field; Master’s Degree preferred
· At least (3) three years of experience in training principles
· Knowledge of Microsoft Offices, data systems, blackboard systems, virtual platforms, and other relevant technology
· Must be registered with the NJ Workforce Registry, maintain membership in the Registry and become an approved Trainer through the Registry Instructor Approval System
· Must obtain certification for Infant/Toddler Cae (PITC) within on year of hire
· Understanding of Developmentally Appropriate Practices (DAP), NAEYC standards, Environmental Rating Scales (ERS), and NJ State Standards (Birth to Three, NJ Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards)
· Understands reflective supervision
Skills and Special Requirements:
· Excellent writing, verbal, and written skills.
· Bilingual Spanish/English
