Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Teachers to join our team to help teach 12-15 month olds. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Provide individualized attention and support to students with special needs, including those with autism or behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Help supervise students during indoor and outdoor activities
- Support students in developing social skills and promoting positive peer interactions
- Assist with maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment
- Provide assistance with daily routines, such as mealtime, naptime, and toileting
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise

Skills:
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Understanding of child development milestones and appropriate teaching strategies
- Experience working with students, particularly in Montessori or daycare/preschool settings
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques effectively
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with children on an individual level
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the classroom
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
